I like to keep my laptop closed while it's connected to the big monitor. Yet, the laptop needs to be opened to be powered on or woken from sleep (???) so stoving it permanently is not an option.
Cats like to nap on things. Especially on heated things, like laptops.
This combination is not great:
- cat fur in intake vents
- furry ass preventing heat dissipation
- 5+ kg cat jumping onto or off of a laptop, breaking lids, hinges and display
Thus, with the help of some cheap materials and child labor, I now have a hinged laptop hiding system that allows for cat-naps while still leaving room for ventilation, access to ports, and protecting the screen.
